Beginner Golf 2 (golf 1 or similar experience is a prerequisite):
This class is for someone who has had some prior experience (or Golf 1) with golf but has limited on course experience. A full review of golf fundamentals is taught and this class also includes more difficult shots - fairway wood shots, bunker shots and more precise and accurate short game procedures. Fee is $60 for 4 week class and range balls included.
Playing Lesson with Kate:
This lesson includes two or three others players who have never been out on the golf course before. Similar level players are grouped together. You play nine holes together and we review all the knowledge you have gained through the classes and put it into practice on the golf course. On course rules and etiquette are repeatedly reviewed, scoring, and all other information needed to play is taught. A playing lesson enables the first time golfer to experience golf in a fun, safe and enjoyable manner. A playing lesson takes about 2 & 1/2 to 3 hours but it is well worth the time as you will be fully prepared for all your future golf experiences. Fee: $70 per person (cart and green fee included).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Do I have to be athletic to play golf?
No - Over time everyone can get better at golf - irrespective of your sports backgroung.
Is Golf expensive?
It doesn't have to be. Half sets and smaller starter golf sets are a good bet for someone just starting out in the sport. I can always recommend a set type for you based on your needs (ability and budget).
Does the type of golf club matter...can I use an old hand me down set? My spouse's or parents?
We have loaner clubs for practice and we also have good quality ladies Callaway clubs that are used during our classes. I don't recommend using someone else's clubs - as they might not fit you (too long or short). You can always bring your clubs to me and I can check them out.
Do I need to wear golf shoes and a collared shirt?
You don't need golf shoes to begin with and a collared shirts isn't required at the driving range. Comfortable clothes (no jeans on the golf course - is a general rule at most courses) and wear layers in the colder temperatures.
At what age can children begin playing?
Around 7 is a good age but if there is interest at a younger age then enroll them in a golf class or schedule a parent child lesson. That way you learn something while seeing what methods are best for your child. It is also a fun way to start learning together.
Tell me about Junior Clubs?
There are all sorts of sets available. Most kids clubs are sold per the child's height. Measure them and then add one inch and then buy the set that corresponds to that number. Often a child's first set may just be 4 clubsa (a fairway wood, a 7 iron, wedge and a putter) and a very light bag. You can always ask me and I can give you many options.
