It's more than just a pool....it's the zone for summer excitement!

Come visit the Splash Zone Swimming Pool for cool summertime fun. Located behind the Letort View Community Center, it offers a large slide, separate baby pool and splash pad.

A sand volleyball court is available on a first-come, first-served basis during pool hours of operation. Volleyballs are available at the snack bar or you may bring your own.

Join by the month or year for discounts, or drop in on a daily basis. We offer a fee structure that is both affordable and flexible.

Swimming Lessons 2010 Schedule

All classes are held Monday through Friday.

Swimming Levels

Level 1 (Water Exploration)
The objective of Level 1 is to help students feel safe and comfortable in the water. Level 1: Red Cross Fact Sheet
Level 2 (Primary Skills)
The objective of Level 2 is to ensure success with fundamental water skills. Students learn how to float without support and recover to a vertical position. Level 2: Red Cross Fact Sheet
Level 3 (Stroke Development)
Students enhance fundamental skills with some endurance and stroke techniques. Level 3: Red Cross Fact Sheet

Level 4 (Stroke Improvement)
Students strengthen their stroke technique and endurance on the front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. We also introduce the 10 yard sidestroke and breaststroke at this level. Level 4: Red Cross Fact Sheet
Level 5 (Stroke Refinement)
Objectives at this level are coordination and refinement of all key strokes. Level 5: Red Cross Fact Sheet
Level 6 (Skill Proficiency)

Cost

$40 per student, per session. Carlisle Barracks Youth Services' Day Camp children will receive a $5 discount.

Registration

Registration is on a first-come first-served basis, with classes limited to 15 students each. To register, simply do one of the following:

Register at the Sports office or swimming pool during regular hours
Call (717) 245-3560/4029/4343 to register by phone
Click the online registration form to request your class reservation. Once we receive your online request, someone from our staff will contact you within 48 hours to confirm your enrollment and to review any questions you might have.

Pool Rental/Party Packages

Make a splash by renting the Splash Zone Pool for your next party or event. We'll provide the lifeguards during the rental and can even assist you with your catering needs.

Rental rates

$100 per hour, with a minimum two-hour rental.

Pool Passes can be purchased at the pool, sports office or via the online request form.

Refunds

Refunds will only be made for persons who become physically incapacitated and have purchased seasonal passes.There will be no refunds for daily passes. All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee.

Policies:

Children 9 years of age and younger must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent or family member 12 years of age or older.
Eligible users include: active duty military, national guard, reserves, retired military and their family members who are in possession of a valid DoD ID card; civilian employees and their family members who are in possession of a valid DoD ID card or Community Operations/Recreation ID card (CBks Form 834r).

Guests:

Only eligible users, 10 years of age and older, may bring one guest per visit to the pool.
Guests must sign in on appropriate forms and abide by all pool rules.
Guests must leave the pool when the sponsor leaves.
